inteia has received the “Nitrógeno Plus” Award at the recent Air Quality Agreement event hosted by Medellín City Hall. We’ve been part of this initiative since 2018, expressing our commitment to driving tangible actions to improve the city’s air quality. This year, we excelled particularly in these five key areas:
1. Low-Carbon Development: We presented our annual emission results using precise data obtained by following the GHG Protocol. We achieved INCONTEC’s Carbon Neutral certification and set our emission reduction goals in collaboration with our parent company, ISA.
2. Reduction of Emissions from Stationery Sources: We implemented preventive maintenance to minimize fugitive emissions.
3. Environmental Education and Culture: We held training sessions and impactful activities for Virtual Mobility Days, raising awareness about environmental protection, air quality, and the effects of climate change.
4. Sustainable Business Mobility: We used #Appimotion to calculate emissions from employee commuting and promote remote working, significantly reducing our overall emissions.
5. Fleet Modernization: We added new hybrid vehicles to our fleet for our Traffic Control Center employees, resulting in lower emissions versus conventional vehicles.
At Inteia, we’re committed to improving air quality and preserving our environment. This is a mission that extends beyond #Medellin to all territories where we operate and leave our mark through every project we complete. We will continue working to build a cleaner, more sustainable world! 💚🌏
